Pleasant Plains dominated SHG in the first half, leading 32-18 after two despite losing Nick Savage for the game in the second quarter, but the Cyclones didn’t have any quit in them. Battling back in the third and taking over in the fourth, SHG came all the way back for a convincing 62-48 win over Pleasant Plains to move into the 2A Beardstown Sectional Championship Friday night. The Cyclones could be without junior guard Andrew Schluter Friday night, as he was taken out in a stretcher after a scary fourth quarter injury. We do not yet have an update on his status.
