Cole Howard had 22 points and hammered home a dunk late in the fourth quarter to punch West Central’s ticket to the Waverly Holiday Tournament championship with a 57-41 win over Athens.
Gabe Cox added 15 for the Cougars who survived a run from the Warriors in the fourth cutting a 19 point lead down to seven. West Central will play the winner of Routt and New Berlin on Monday night for the title.
