Pleasant Plains is headed to state for the first time in five years after beating Tuscola 12-2 in the 2A Lincoln Land super sectional on Monday evening.

Plains put up four runs in the first and six runs in the third on their way to a five inning victory over the Warriors after Tuscola beat them in walk off fashion last year to earn a trip to state.

Mason Williams pitched all five innings for the win, giving up just a two run homer to Brayden Vanlanken in the bottom of the first inning.

Plains will play Friday in Peoria at 3 p.m.
