Over 50 former Lion track athletes gathered at Memorial Stadium Saturday morning to honor their former coach with a plaque filled with his many coaching achievements. We caught up with Coach Garcia’s first State Champion T.J. Jumper to talk about the legacy and impact Coach Garcia will leave at Lanphier and how special it was to gather with former teammates. We also talked to an emotional Mike Garcia as he shared his thoughts about his almost 30 years coaching at Lanphier.
