Tri-City broke a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the fourth inning and eventually scored seven unanswered to post a 9-2 win over Auburn in the 2A softball regional final on Saturday. It was the third straight regional crown for the Tornadoes and career win no. 250 for Tri-City head coach Brad Sturdy.
The Tornadoes will play in the Gillespie sectional at 4:30 on Wednesday.
