Calvary cut a nine point fourth quarter New Berlin lead to one with :14 left in Saturday’s opener at the Capital City Showcase but a Derrick Roberts desperation heave at the buzzer was offline and the Pretzels survived with a 53-50 win.
Hunter Stockton scored a team high 16 points and added five rebounds in the win for New Berlin and Casey Bixby added 12 points and five boards. Roberts scored a game high 20 points in the losing effort for the Saints.
