Alex Wood was an absolute stud for U High Saturday afternoon in the BOS Arena. Wood finished with 24 points, hitting six three’s en route to a 65-45 Normal U High win over Rochester. It was never really in doubt for the Pioneers, as they took an early first quarter lead at 14-9 and continued to build upon.
Wood caught fire in the third quarter, hitting three three’s as they expanded the lead to 49-38 going into the fourth, and held onto it for the 20 point win. Rochester’s Riley Rosche led the team with 18, all of his points coming from the three point line. Jordan Leach added 12.
