North Mac’s defense was impressive in round one of the 3A playoffs on Saturday afternoon as the Panthers shutout Beardstown on the defensive side of the ball for a 35-7 win. Beardstown’s lone touchdown came on a pick six in the fourth quarter. North Mac senior quarterback, Grant Graham paced the Panthers as he rushed for three touchdowns. Griffin Hatalla added a three-yard touchdown and Jesse Trew returned an onside kick 58-yards for another Panthers touchdown.
North Mac advances to take on Anna-Jonesboro next week in the second round.
