Springfield edged Glenwood for 3rd and 4th place finishes respectively on the girls side and the boys flipped the script with a Glenwood 3rd and SHS 4th place team finish at the 2A MacArthur cross country sectionals on Saturday at Hickory Point Golf Course in Decatur. The top five teams in each sectional advance to next Saturday’s state meet in Peoria.
Individual advancers on the girls side include Taylorville’s Anna Lowry and Rochester’s Katherine Petty and Maddie Campbell. Rochester’s Josh Cable earned an individual trip on the boys side.
