The first big Sangamo showdown of the season, at least of two of the top four in our Power Rankings, takes place in week 2 when the Auburn Trojans take their number one ranking in class 2A over to Williamsville.
The Bullets went into Auburn last year in week one and escaped with a three point win at the last second. Williamsville then had to watch as the Trojans played an extra four weeks of football at the end of the season.
Their is a certain respect to this rivalry, both schools understanding the tradition and excellence that the other presents on the football field, but there is a desire that comes with that respect to have the bragging rights of beating that team.
