Much of the talk entering Friday's 2A Beardstown sectional final revolved around QND's size and athleticism. The Pleasant Plains' guards made sure to change the narrative once the game got underway.
Daulton Nibbe, Cole Greer and Isaac Collins combined for 40 points, 11 assists and six steals, taking turns speeding past the Raiders' man-to-man defense. Austin Finley benefited from the collapsing D to the tune of 23 points and 14 rebounds. Nik Clemens added six rebounds and eight assists.
The Cardinals advance to Tuesday's 2A UIS Supersectional where they'll play St. Joseph Ogden.
