Demanding Respect: Southeast Strengthens Case in CS8 With Road Win At SHS

Southeast picked up an 83-69 win at Springfield High on Tuesday night. The win, coupled with a 26 point victory over MacArthur on Saturday, has established the Spartans as legitimate contenders for a Central State 8 title this season. That kind of respect is something Southeast says they've been denied so far this season.

Isaiah Walton led the Spartans with 25 points. D'Angelo Hughes, who missed much of the first half due to foul trouble, added 13 for Southeast.

Springfield's Keon Day led all scorers with 28 points. Isaac Nelson was right behind him with 27 points in the loss.

Southeast is now 2-0 in conference play and Springfield High falls to 0-2.
