The Sangamo Conference winning streak is now at 42 games for Williamsville, but Friday's 31-28 win over Auburn might have been their closest call yet. Senior Bullets quarterback Vince Vignali nearly spoiled what was an otherwise a strong first performance under center, when he fumbled deep in Auburn territory with :45 seconds left in the game and Williamsville clinging to a three point lead.

The turnover left Auburn with a shot at the endzone from 22 yards out with 3.4 seconds remaining in the game, but Drew Chance's pass to the endzone was knocked away by Vignali.

Chance finished the night 18-30 with 130 yards passing to go with a touchdown and three interceptions. He added 112 yards on the ground on 21 carries. Senior Trojans receiver Drew Points caught 14 passes for 130 yards and a touchdown in the loss. Ryan McLaughlin led the Auburn rushing attack with 139 yards on 22 carries.

Vignali stuffed the stat sheet for Williamsville with 125 yards and two touchdowns through the air. He added 158 yards on 15 carries and a score in the run game. Jace Franklin was held out of the endzone but carried for 131 yards on 17 carries.
