The Bullets are on a mission, and with the way they've been playing defense, they might just accomplish it.  Williamsville made play after play behind Alex DeVaney as they win a sectional title 4-0 over the Cardinals.

Williamsville was loose before the game, but turned on the intensity when it got started.  Morgan Higginbotham gave the Bullets the lead in the first inning on a two-run RBI single to left.  After that, the defense came up big.

Pleasant Plains had threats in the 3rd and 4th innings, but both times the Bullets made stellar defensive plays, keeping the Cardinals off the scoreboard.  Williamsville added two more runs in the bottom of the 5th inning on Emma Walburt and Higginbotham singles and DeVaney did the rest.

Williamsville moves on to face St. Joseph Ogden in Tuesday's 2A Athens supersectional.
