A grain handling safety meeting is being held on Thursday, January 21st at the Spoon River College Outreach Center, 2500 East Jackson Street in Macomb beginning at 9:00 a.m.

The Grain Handling Safety Coalition (GHSC) of Springfield will present the program. The Grain Handling Safety Coalition is committed to the prevention of accidents, injuries and fatalities in grain handling through educational meetings and demonstrations. Lynn McClure will be giving information on: Entanglement Hazards, Grain Bin Entry, a Lifeline Protection System and Lock Out/Tag Out. If weather permits, we also have a hands-on Lifeline simulator. This program is free and open to anyone that works with grain or around grain bins or who just wants to learn more about the safety associated with grain.

FFA students are also encouraged to attend. Pre-registration is encouraged.
