Here are this week’s candidates for the Trinity Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Taylorville Prime Time Performer.

Alex Hamrick (Glenwood Wrestling) A big day for the Titans and Hamrick as they hosted a 2A regional. Hamrick won the regional title in the 220 weight class while also becoming the all time leader in victories at Glenwood during the regional. The Titans also picked up the team title. Ben Hermes (New Berlin Boys Basketball) The Pretzels are one of two teams still unbeaten in the Sangamo and picked up a win over PORTA on Tuesday. Hermes led New Berlin with 14 points in the 58-38 victory. Highlights of the win HERE.

Collin Reif (Jacksonville Wrestling) Not only are the Crimsons regional champs but so is Reif. He won the 152 weight class with a victory over Triad’s Aiden Postma. Reif also became the all time career wins leader at Jacksonville recently. Highlight of the 2A Jacksonville regional HERE.

Jenna Bowman (Lincoln Girls Basketball) The Railers are now 28-0 as they head into the final week of the regular season. Bowman has been a big contributor for Lincoln and against Effingham on Friday she finished with 14 points. See highlights of that win HERE and their win over Mt Zion HERE.

Cole Edie (Auburn Wrestling) The Trojans are regional champs and so is Edie. The senior picked up a win in the 285 weight class with a fall over Shelbyville’s  Andre Townsend. Edie sits at 41-2 on the season heading into the sectional on Friday and Saturday. See some of the highlights of the 1A Auburn regional HERE.

Izzy Hassebrock (Sacred Heart Griffin Girls Basketball) The Cyclones got a big win on Friday night over Rochester to help keep the hope alive of a shared conference title. In SHG’s latest win streak Hassebrock has been big for the Cyclones and in their latest victory she led the team with 11 points. Highlights of the win over Rochester HERE.

Conner Carroll (Rochester Wrestling) The Rockets have a regional champion! In the 106 wight class at the 2A Glenwood regional Carroll defeated Tyler Clarke of Glenwood in the first place match with a fall at 25 seconds.

Dawson McConnell (Lincoln Wrestling) Another individual regional champ from the 2A Glenwood regional. In the champion match for the 160 pound wight class McConnell picked up the fall at 3:55 over Jason Skocy of Mattoon.

Lleyton Turk (Glenwood Swim) The Titans got a big win in the 400 freestyle relay to give them the CS8 title on Saturday at Eisenhower Pool. Turk was the anchor in that winning relay (3:25.81). Turk also won the 100 freestyle (49.44) and the 200 freestyle (1:51.12).

Sawyer Smith (Auburn Boys Basketball) The other unbeaten team in the Sangamo is the Auburn Trojans (5-0) who have a big matchup with New Berlin (5-0) on Tuesday, February 7th. The Trojans got a go ahead basket from Smith in the final seconds of their game against Pleasant Plains on Wednesday. See that basket and more HERE.

Megan Derrick (Pleasant Plains Girls Basketball) After being tied at 17 at halftime with Maroa Forsyth, Plains used a big second half to take the 47-28 victory. Derrick scored all of her nine points in the second half of that victory. The Cardinals host PORTA in a potential conference deciding matchup on Wednesday, February 8th.
