Who are the newcomers we should know about and why?
We have a couple of basketball players coming out who are brand new to football. I expect Ty Blake and Mason Hooper to make a big impact on our team as the season goes on and they gain more experience.
Martin Donahue is a sophomore who played some games as a freshman last year. We expect him to start on defense and play some on offense. He is a guy that we have high expectations for.
Head Coach says: We have a solid group of returners and a good mix of sophomores and players new to football to help fill in the gaps. Our numbers are better and our lower-level numbers have improved greatly. We have made great progress in the last 12 months, and I am excited about this team. We have some veterans up front and an experienced quarterback. I’ve been able to tailor our scheme to the strengths of our players going into this season. I love what Colin brings to the table at quarterback, and I think we have some solid pieces around him. We should be much improved defensively. Obviously, the conference is always a challenge, but we feel like we are in a position to be much more competitive this year. The playoffs are the goal. We’re excited to get started pursuing that goal!
