Trinity In Taylorville Prime Time Performer: April 11-16

Here are this week’s candidates for the Trinity Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Taylorville Prime Time Performer.

Mitch Dye (SHG Baseball) Tuesday night at Robin Roberts Stadium was a pitchers duel between Dye and Griffin Burk as Springfield High hosted SHG. It was the Cyclones that took home the 1-0 victory behind a one hitter from Dye in seven innings pitch while striking out 12 in the process. Maggie Gleckler (Rochester Girls Soccer) A conference victory for the Rockets last week as took at 5-1 win over Springfield High on Monday at Lee Field. Gleckler led the team with two goals in the victory. See those goals and the rest of the highlights HERE.

Nicole Sinks (Williamsville Softball) A big non-conference matchup in Williamsville on Monday night as the Bullets hosted Tri-City. Sinks had a big day at the plate finishing a triple shy of a cycle with three hits and two RBIs. Check the highlight of the Bullet’s victory HERE.

Jaxson Grubbs (Maroa Forsyth Baseball) Another great pitching performance on Tuesday night this time in Pleasant Plains as the Trojans visited the Cardinals. Grubbs pitched 6.2 innings before being pulled due to pitch count. He only allowed three hits and struck out eight in the 7-0 win. He also had a hit and two RBIs at the plate. Callie Huston (SHG Girls Soccer) The Cyclones hosted Pleasant Plains in a rematch of the regional championship last year on Monday night. At the half SHG trailed by one but two quick corner kicks that were put in the goal by Huston gave SHG the 2-1 victory. See the highlights HERE.

Addison Wheatley (Auburn Softball) The Trojans picked up a big conference victory over Williamsville on Thursday. Wheatley had two hits and three RBIs in the 7-4 victory. See how they got the win HERE.

Alex Cashman (Glenwood Baseball) The Titans picked up a 12-7 victory over Jacksonville on Tuesday with three of those runs coming from Cashman. He finished the game with two hits and three RBIs in the victory. See the highlights from the win HERE.

Kyndel Moore (Riverton Girls Soccer) A busy week for the Hawknadoes as they had four games last week and picked up three wins including a Sangamo conference victory. Moore finished the week with 10 goals and two assists including a four goal game in the win over Auburn.

Karlie Hoke (PORTA Softball) PORTA vs Pleasant Plains ended in a walk off on Thursday with a double from Hoke. In the 16-15 victory she had two hits and three RBIs. See all the scoring plays HERE.

Brody Erickson (Springfield High Baseball) Erickson had a big day on Thursday. First it was his birthday then the Senators picked up a 8-4 victory over SHG. He finished the game with two hits and four RBIs in the win. Check out the highlights HERE.

Daleny Chumbley (Tri-City Softball) Another great game for Chumbley this week against Maroa Forsyth as the Tornadoes picked up three more wins. In the circle she pitched seven innings allowing just two hits and striking out 11. At the plate she had a solo home run and drew a walk. Check out the highlights HERE.

Daniel Hendricks (Glenwood Track and Field) Hendricks had a busy day on Saturday at the Capital City Classic with a two first place finishes and a second place finish. He won the triple jump and set a new meet record with a hum of 42-08. He was also a part of the first place 4×400 teams that set a meet record at 3:34.37. Then his team in the 4×100 finished second but still managed to beat the meet record as well with a time of 44.38.
