Springfield High had two freshman score in the second half and that was the difference in the CS8 tournament semifinal on Thursday. Byron McNeil and Drew Dejaynes both scored for the Senators in the second half to give them a 4-2 win over U-High after Jared Cornejo’s penalty kick goal tied it up to start the second half. Zeke Cross and Carter Formea (penalty kick) scored the first half goals for Springfield High, who will host Glenwood on Saturday at 11 a.m. for the CS8 tournament title.
