With 2.3 seconds to go in a 55-55 tie between Pleasant Plains and IVC, the Cardinals lobbed it in to Joel Niermann and he couldn’t finish the game winner. Of course he got his own rebound and put it back just before the buzzer sounded to give the Cardinals a win anyway, because that’s just how relentless Joel Niermann is. The senior big man finished with 27 points for Plains, while IVC’s Holt Geltmaker had a game-high 30.
