Williamsville scored first but Lutheran High answered just two minutes later. Neither team could find the back of the net again so after two overtime periods, the 1A Riverton regional championship went to penalty kicks.

Both teams made three out of five penalty kicks the first round, so finally the seventh shooter made the difference. Cara Anderson made a diving save for Lutheran High and then freshman Sienna Senalik made the game winner for Lutheran High.

This is the first ever regional championship title for Dave Isham on the girls side of the soccer program, the Crusaders will play Bloomington Central Catholic in the Bloomington Central Catholic sectional semifinal on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
