The SHG Cyclones just keep on rolling. After an epic buzzer beater to win a regional title, the Cyclones proceeded to knock off previously unbeaten Charleston to move into the sectional final. Awaiting them was top-seeded Bethalto Civic Memorial, but at this point, these Cyclones aren’t afraid of anyone.
Payton Vorreyer paced SHG with 20 and fellow senior Victoria Zeigler added 11 as SHG took home the school’s first ever sectional title with a 53-44 win over Civic Memorial. Kourtland Tyus had 19 for the Eagles in the loss.
