The Senators had a strong City showing as they finished 3rd. Jacquez Stewart hit a milestone for SHS as he picked up his 100th victory against Lanphier. The final came down between SHG and the defending champion Lanphier Lions. SHG controlled early but thanks to late pins by Lanphier they would take a 27-25 with only a few wrestlers remaining.
Grant Edwards made his return for the Cyclones and had a huge impact as his pin helped SHG regain the lead. With a narrow lead, the stage was set for SHG’s Nick Koeing as he faced Hannah Hudspeth. Koeing would pick up a pin and secure the 40-33 victory for the Cyclones. With the win SHG takes home their first City wrestling title.
