Despite a 3 hour bus ride and a wet, muddy field the SHG offense came off the buses running and scoring on their first four possessions to rout Marmion Academy, 45-14 in Aurora.
Brian Adams ran for 254 yards and three touchdowns, stepping up big in the absence of running back Tremayne Lee who was out with a hamstring injury. Spencer Redd racked up over 150 receiving yards on three catches all in the first half, exposing mismatch with Marmion linebackers 1 on 1.
SHG racked up over 500 yards on offense in scoring 45 consecutive points to start the game. SHG goes to 9-2 and moves on to Round 3 of the Class 6A Playoffs where they will host Chicago Catholic League power, Nazareth Academy next Saturday.
