After narrowly missing multiple chances, Madilyn Fornoff finally scored two goals in a matter of a minute to jumpstart a 5-1 Pleasant Plains win over North Mac in the 1A Plains regional championship.
Ali Fraase also scored in the first half to give the Cardinals a 3-0 halftime lead. Bev Watson and Mandy Watson each scored in the second half for the Cardinals. Dalis Hetherington scored the only goal for North Mac.
Plains will play Carlinville in the QND sectional semifinal on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
