Klay Wood couldn’t play in last year’s Jacksonville victory over Glenwood due to injury. This year the senior carried the Crimsons to a come from behind win over the Titans for Jacksonville’s second straight victory over their Central State Eight rivals.
Wood scored three rushing touchdowns and James White caught the game winning touchdown from Avery Dugan with just over five minutes to play as Jacksonville beat Glenwood 27-21.
Glenwood took a 21-6 lead into the second quarter thanks to a 200 plus yard night on the ground from Zak Wardlow and a 60 yard touchdown from Jubbar Cross to Cole Hembrough, but the Crimson defense didn’t give up a point in the final three quarters.
