Greenfield Northwestern held the lead throughout the first sectional semifinal of the week at North Greene High School. West Central cut the lead down to two with 30 seconds to play but the Tigers went 10-for-16 at the free throw line in the final frame to stay in front for the 42-40 win. GNW awaits the winner of Brown County and Metro East Lutheran while West Central’s season comes to a close at 27-8.
