The Auburn Trojans held on in close victory over the Shelbyville Rams 6-4. Auburn jumped out to a 5-0 lead but the Rams kept chipping away at the lead throughout the game. Hampton Petska hit a two-run homer in the sixth for the Rams and batted with the bases loaded in the seventh but Zach Newbold retired him to end the game. Auburn will play against Piasa Southwestern for the 2A North Mac Regional Title on Saturday at 11 am.
