The PORTA Bluejays locked down defensively in the second quarter and were able to pull away for a 45-27 victory over Pleasant Plains on Wednesday night in a battle of the final two Sangamo conference teams with 7-0 records. PORTA improved to 28-1, which is a new school record for victories, led by 12 points each from Jayce Privia and Cassie Cox. PORTA will play Canton on Thursday before both Plains and PORTA head to the Riverton regional next week.
