Ava Bobb (Glenwood Softball) The Glenwood Titans are CS8 champs and haven’t lost a conference game since May of 2021. This year’s conference record came in a 4-0 win over Normal U-High and Bobb helped get the Titans on the board. Scoreless through five it was the junior who hit a three-run home run in the top of the sixth. Check out that hit and more highlights HERE.
Dylan Clow (Sacred Heart Griffin Baseball) The Cyclones picked up a 16-10 victory over Normal U-High on Thursday. Clow had a big game at the plate as he went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and five runs batted in. See some highlights of the win thanks to WMBD HERE.
Alaina Hawker (Pleasant Plains Girls Track & Field) The Pleasant Plains Cardinal won a sectional title on their home track on Thursday. The senior was a part of two relay victories which included the 4×400 (4:11.70) and the 4×800 (9:58.84). She also finished second in the 800 meter to help lead the way for the Cardinals.
Dylan Huff (Glenwood Baseball) The Titans earned a share of the CS8 baseball title on Tuesday with a 15-10 win in nine innings against Springfield High. Huff went 3-for-5 in the game with three runs and two RBI. See highlights of the high scoring conference game HERE.
Colton Ladage (Glenwood Boys Track & Field) For the sixth straight year the Titans are CS8 boys track and field champs. Ladage had a busy night with one individual and two relay wins. His individual victory came in the 100 meter in 10.62 seconds. The relay victories came in the 4×100 (41.72) and the 4×200 (1:27.54). See highlights from the conference meet HERE.
Hannah Louis (Williamsville Softball) Williamsville has a new single season home run record holder. The freshman broke the record on Tuesday with two homers against the Illini Bluffs. That record was previously held by Torrie Sorensen with 14 homers. Louis finished the week 7-for-15 at the plate with four homers and nine RBIs.
Corbin Miller (Pawnee Baseball) The Indians earned a walk-off victory over the Auburn Trojans last week. Tied at one following the seventh inning the game went to extras where Miller came up with a walk-off single in the eighth for the 4-3 win.
Jack Rholk (Jacksonville Baseball) Jacksonville picked up a win over Rochester on Tuesday thanks to a go-ahead double by Rholk. Down 6-4 in the sixth inning the freshman hit a three RBI double to put the Crimsons ahead for the 7-6 win. Check out that hit and more HERE.
Kreston Shultz (Pleasant Plains Baseball) The Cardinals picked up three wins last week and it started with a 5-0 victory over Lincoln on Wednesday. Shultz was on the mound in the victory and threw a complete game shutout allowing just three hits and one walk while striking out five. See the highlights HERE.
James Stevens (Riverton Baseball) The Hawks picked up an extra innings walk-off win on Friday. Stevens hit a walk-off single in the ninth for the 9-8 win over Nokomis. He finished the game 2-for-3 at the plate with one run scored, one RBI and two walks.
