The Normal Community Ironmen scored early and shutout the Normal U-High Pioneers to win 3-0. Two of the Ironmen runs came in the bottom of the first and that was enough to win as Gavin Swartz and Beckett Weber combined for the shutout and 16th consecutive win for the team. Drew Stevens knocked in two of the Ironmen runs. The Pioneers kept it close with great defense, turning double plays to escape the third and fourth innings. Caleb Hornbrook reached three times for U-High with a walk, HBP and double. U-High falls to 23-4 and will play SHG on Thursday while the Ironmen are now 27-2.
