Trinity in Taylorville Prime Time Performer: May 4-9

Here are this week’s candidates for the Trinity Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Taylorville Prime Time Performer.

You can vote once every 12 hours until the polls close on Friday at 5 p.m.

The winner will receive a $20 gift card to Dublin Pub.

Gift cards will be mailed to the school office at the end of each month.

Jackson Britton (Williamsville Boys Track & Field) The Bullets won the indoor conference title in March and picked up the outdoor Sangmao title last week on the their home track. Britton helped lead Williamsville to the victory as he collected points in four events. He won the 200 meter (22.36) and took third in the 100 meter. He was also a part of the winning 4×100 (43.52) and the winning 4×200 (1:32.26). Check out the highlights from the conference meet HERE.

Deandre Brown (Springfield High Boys Track & Field) For the 17th straight year the Senators are City Champs. Brown picked up a win in the 400 meter (50.53). The senior was also a part of two relay wins in the 4×100 (43.91) and the 4×400 (48.21). See the highlights from the City meet HERE.

Madigan Burger (New Berlin Girls Track & Field) The New Berlin Pretzels are Sangamo conference champs following a victory at the conference meet on Wednesday. The lone senior on the team, Burger helped lead the way for the Pretzels. She was a part of two first place relays, the 4×200 (1:48.55) and the 4×400 (4:10.32). She also competed in the 100 meter. Brinklee Burns (Olympia Softball) The Spartans wrapped up the outright Sangamo title last week with a victory over Athens. Olympia was trailing by one entering the bottom of the sixth and it was a go ahead RBI single from Burns that gave the Spartans the lead. She finished with two hits and one RBI in the 4-3 Sangamo win.

Klaire Eighner (Maroa Forsyth Girls Track & Field) The Maroa Forsyth senior had a big week last week. She picked up wins in the 1600 and the 3200 on Wednesday at the conference meet. She also had a big win at the SJO Lady Spartans Classic on Friday with a sub five minute mile as she won the 1600 meter in 4:55.40.

Sydney Feld (Glenwood Softball) Another road trip for the Titans over the weekend as they picked up a win over Marion and split a doubleheader with No. 1 in 2A Carterville. In the game two victory over Carterville Feld went 3-for-3 with five RBIs and two runs scores. Those hits came on a single and two homers which included a 3-run shot and a solo shot. Caleb Hornbrook (Normal U-High Baseball) The Pioneers picked up a big win over Glenwood last week to earn the CS8 title. Hornbrook is hit over .500 this season and got U-High on the board in the top of the third. In the 4-0 victory the senior collected two hits, scored a run and drove in one. See the highlights HERE.

Lane Kennedy (Pleasant Plains Boys Track & Field) The Cardinals hosted the Sangamon County Meet on Saturday and picked up the team title. Kennedy was a part of three winning relays to help collect points for the team. The sophomore was a part of the winning 4×100 (44.06), 4×200 (1:34.97) and 4×400 (3:38.57).

Addi Maddox (Springfield High Girls Soccer) Springfield High won the outright CS8 title for the second time in two years. The conference clinching win came in a 2-0 victory over Glenwood and it was Maddox leading the way with two goals in the win. See the highlights of the conference sealing victory HERE.

Sloan Noble (Pleasant Plains Girls Track & Field) Pleasant Plains won the Sangamon County Meet on Saturday on their home track. Noble picked up two individual wins and was a part of two relay victories. Her individual victories were in the 100 hurdles (16.32) and the 300 hurdles (51.26). The relay wins were in the 4×100 (50.51) and the 4×200 (1:50.21).

Grace Sabatka (Pleasant Plains Girls Soccer) The Cardinals improved their record to 20-0-1 last week and won the Sangamo conference title outright thanks to a victory over Athens. Sabatka was a big part of the conference clinching win as she had four of the Cardinals eight goals. Check out the highlights HERE.

Hannah Safranek (Normal U-High Girls Track & Field) The back to back state state champs are now back to back Central State Eight champs. The Pioneers picked up the conference title on Thursday in Decatur and Safranek picked up four victories. The junior picked up individual wins in back to back races with the 100 hurdles (14.54) and the 100 meter (12.10). She also won the 200 meter (24.99) and was also part of the winning 4×100 (48.21).
