Senior Elaine Grant has earned a spot in the NCAA Division II Women’s Golf East Regional, qualifying as an individual to represent the University of Illinois Springfield. It marks the fourth regional appearance of her career.

Grant will compete May 4-6 at Findlay Country Club in Findlay, Ohio. She is aiming to qualify for the NCAA Division II Women’s Golf Championships for the second time in her career after previously advancing as a sophomore.

The NCAA Division II field is split into four regional sites, with 18 teams and six individual selections competing at each location. All participants will play 54 holes, with the top four teams from the East Regional, along with the top two individuals not on advancing teams, earning a berth to the national championships.

The East Regional field features team representation from the Great Lakes Valley Conference, including UIndy, UMSL, Lewis, McKendree, and Maryville.

Grant is one of six individual qualifiers in the regional, joined by Sydney Hugo (Walsh), AJ Powell (Wisconsin-Parkside), Grace Stafford (Drury), Lily Zicarelli (Wisconsin-Parkside), and Lily Vardaman (Quincy).

The competition will be familiar territory for Grant. In addition to her postseason experience, she has faced many of the teams and individuals in the field multiple times throughout her career, including during the 2026 season.

The NCAA Division II Women’s Golf Championships will be held May 12-16 at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens. A total of 98 participants will compete at the finals, with regional qualifiers advancing to the national stage.
