Lutheran High got their 2026 season off to a 1-0 start with an 11-1 home win over Illini Central. Caleb and Cam Cox kept the Cougars hitless through the five inning game while the Crusaders took advantage of walks and errors to grow the lead. Wade Naylor ended the game with an RBI double in the fifth to reach the run rule. LuHi plays their next two games against Pawnee and Illini Central moves on to face Havana.
