March Madness came a little early as the 2A boys basketball postseason regional semifinal in Virden delivered an instant classic on Wednesday night. The host North Mac Panthers beat PORTA 53-48 in double overtime to advance to the regional championship on Friday. The Panthers will play top seeded Quincy Notre Dame on Friday at 7 pm for the 2A regional title.
