UIS started the first half with a strong offensive display, highlighted by Isaiah Davis’s three three-pointers, contributing to its total of eight from beyond the arc. The Prairie Stars initially matched the Greyhounds with strong offensive efforts, including an early three-pointer from Dutton, assisted by Jordan Rice, at 19:02 to regain a one-point lead. Despite this, UIS faced challenges maintaining the lead, with turnovers leading to quick points for Indianapolis, culminating in a series of free throws and a late-game scoring surge by Indianapolis. The Prairie Stars struggled to close the gap, and the game concluded with Indianapolis securing an 81-68 victory.

Alex Stell contributed with a strong defensive presence, posting two blocks, two steals, and securing a total of 12 rebounds.
“It was a high-level battle for most of the game and a back-and-forth second half,” said head coach Matt Brock. “UIndy made a run late, and we couldn’t match them. We’re looking forward to getting back on our home court this week.”
The Prairie Stars have a record of 15-9 overall and 11-5 in GLVC play. The Greyhounds stand at 14-11 overall and 12-5 in the GLVC.
