New Berlin trailed Athens 41-40 with a minute to play. After the ball was knocked loose, Gabe Molloy picked it up and scored the go-ahead layup which led the Pretzels to a 44-41 win. Molloy was also the game’s leading scorer with 13 points. Sawyer Hill scored the most for Athens with 12. New Berlin will play the winner of Williamsville and Pleasant Plains in the semifinals on Thursday at 6:30pm. Athens plays Lutheran tomorrow at 8pm in the consolation bracket.
