The Springfield Senators defeated Lincoln 48-43 on Saturday, improving to 4-1 in the Central State Eight girls basketball standings. The game flipped in the third quarter as Abigail Malit scored nine points in the first four minutes of the half. She finished with 16 in the game. Lincoln’s Mia Clark led all scorers with 20 points. Springfield High plays Champaign Central at home Wednesday while Lincoln travels to Taylorville on Tuesday.
