The Wilmington Wildcats jumped out to a 42-0 lead on their way to a 42-6 victory over Maroa-Forsyth for the 2A state championship on Friday afternoon at Hancock Stadium. Billy Moore gave the Wildcats a 7-0 lead after a quarter and Wilmington led 35-0 at halftime. The Trojans finish their season as the Class 2A runner-ups with an 11-3 record. Ryne Sheppard found Troy Pulliam for a touchdown for the Trojans halfway through the fourth quarter.
