Springfield High dropped their opening night matchup in Lincoln 52-45 to Belleville West. The game was close throughout, with several lead changes in the third and the Senators trailing by just a few in the fourth. However the Maroons pulled away late, thanks to a couple threes from Micah May who led all scorers with 18. Springfield High continues their tournament action on Wednesday against Mt. Zion.
