The first two sets for Normal U-High and Morton were back and forth, staying within a few points with each team taking a set. Set three was a different story as the Pioneers never trailed and led by as many as 18 points. The Pioneers won the final frame 25-9 to win the 3A Southeast Sectional and earn a spot in the Glenwood Super Sectional against Breese Mater Dei.
