Olympia Takes Down No. 1 Maroa Forsyth as Simpson Rushes for Four Touchdowns


 

Olympia hosted Maroa Forsyth in Week Seven Sangamo action and it was the Spartans that came away with the 50-36 win over the Trojans who entered the game ranked No. 1 in 2A. The Spartans rushed for 546 yards in the victory with four different ball carriers finding the end zone. Jimmy Lollar led the way with a game-high 233 yards, while Kolin Simpson rushed for 113 yards and four touchdowns. Brendon Hardimon added 111 yards and two scores, and Kaden Collins contributed 96 yards and two touchdowns of his own. Ty Olson also had a big interception late in the game to help seal the victory. Olympia will travel to Pleasant Plains in Week Eight while Maroa Forsyth host the 7-0 Williamsville Bullets.
