Normal U-High picked up a 2-0 victory over Springfield High to improve to 2-0 early in conference play. The Pioneers scored the first nine points on their way to a 25-12 set one win. However they trailed late in set two after the Senators scored five straight points, including three aces from Franny VonDeber. U-High worked their way back to win the set 26-24. The Senators are back in action in Mattoon this weekend and the Pioneers host Southeast on Tuesday.
