The Hemmings Great Race powered through Springfield to close out stage three of the event. The event consists of over 120 vintage cars on a cross-country journey that began in St. Paul, Minnesota and will end in Irmo, South Carolina. It was also announced that Springfield will kick off the 2026 edition of the race, which will cover Route 66 from Springfield to Pasadena, California. We spoke with Race Director Jeff Stumb on this year’s race and what led them to pick Springfield.
