Glenwood softball beat Providence Catholic 3-2 in eight innings on Saturday to claim the 3A state championship, the program’s first title since 2014.
Irie Lohrenz hit a RBI single to the fence in center field to bring in Sophia Feld in the top of the eighth inning after the Celtics scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth. Sophia Feld hit a solo home run in the sixth inning and drove in a run in the third after Ava Bobb doubled. The Titans finish 37-1 and 3A state champions.
