History Made! Springfield High Girls Soccer Beats Triad To Punch Ticket To State


 

For the first time in school history, the Springfield High girls soccer team is headed to state. The Senators beat Triad 4-2 in penalty kicks for a 2-1 win in the 2A Triad supersectional on Tuesday evening. Kamryn Hoffman scored the equalizer to tie the game at 1 with just under 10 to play in the first half. Lydia Auble made a save on the first penalty kick to help power the Senators to the win in penalty kicks. Springfield High will play Peoria Notre Dame on Friday at 2:30 pm in Naperville in the 2A semifinals.
