Brody Scheffler and Breck Calvert both pitched a spectacular game for their squads and the Central State Eight game between Rochester and Springfield High needed an extra inning to decide a winner. Jorey Myren hit a solo home run with one out in the bottom of the eighth to give the Rockets a 2-1 win and earn them at least a share of the CS8 crown. Rochester is 8-0 and 20-7 overall with one game against Glenwood next Tuesday remaining. The Titans and the U-High Pioneers (who play each other on Thursday in CS8 action) each have one CS8 loss. Eli Carlson got the win in relief for the Rockets, who will play Springfield High at Robin Roberts on Wednesday afternoon in non conference action.
