Trinity in Taylorville Prime Time Performer: April 14-19

Here are this week’s candidates for the Trinity Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Taylorville Prime Time Performer.

You can vote once every 12 hours until the polls close on Friday at 5 p.m.

The winner will receive a $20 gift card to Dublin Pub.

Gift cards will be mailed to the school office at the end of each month.

Parker Campbell (Lincoln Boys Track & Field) A two win day for Campbell at the Capital City Classic on Saturday. Campbell won both hurdle races as he took the 110 hurdles with a time of 14.61 seconds and the 300 hurdles in 41.20 seconds. Highlights from Memorial Stadium HERE.

Claire Corredato (Williamsville Girls Soccer) Williamsville picked up three wins last week including a conference win over Athens. In that 6-0 win, Corredato scored twice for the Bullets. She also had a goal in a win over Carlinville on Monday. Check out highlights of the Sangamo victory HERE.

Aubrey Crispen (Athens Girls Track & Field and Softball) There is a new school record holder at Athens. On Friday at the Don Hartlaub Memorial Invite in Riverton it was Crispen picking up a win in the 200 meter. Her time of 26.17 seconds was good enough to put her at the top of the record book at Athens. On the softball field last week, Crispen hit two homers for five runs batted in against PORTA on Tuesday and threw a two hit shutout against Riverton on Thursday.

Carson Dodd (New Berlin Baseball) The Pretzels picked up a big Sangamo win on Thursday over Maroa Forsyth. Dodd started his first varsity game on the mound and threw 3.2 innings. He allowed two hits, one walk and struck out three. He also came to the plate with a runner on third in the bottom of the tenth and hit a single to center for a walk off 1-0 victory. Kate Gross (Rochester Girls Soccer) The Rockets moved to 5-1 in the CS8 with a 2-1 win over Sacred Heart Griffin on Tuesday. With the game tied at one and 12 minutes remaining, it was Gross who scored the go ahead goal. Highlights of the victory HERE.

Ethan Kieser (Normal U-High Baseball) Normal U-High picked up a 3-2 Central State Eight win over Sacred Heart Griffin on Wednesday at Duffy Bass Field. Kieser started the game for the Pioneers and went 6.1 innings for the win. He allowed five hits and two runs while striking out ten. Check out the highlights of the win HERE.

Colton Ladage (Glenwood Boys Track & Field) The Glenwood Titans won the Solon/Lion Open on Wednesday at Memorial Stadium. Ladage helped pick up some decent points for Glenwood with a first place finish in the 100 meter (11.09 seconds) and a second place finish in the 200 meter (22.47 seconds). Rylann Law (Glenwood Girls Soccer) Glenwood picked up a big win over Pleasant Plains on Tuesday. The game was tied at two before Law scored her third goal of the game with less then two minutes to play. That helped give the Titans the 3-2 victory over the Cardinals and you can see highlights of that game HERE.

Ryan McCombs (Jacksonville Boys Track & Field) A two time winner at the Solon/Lion Open on Wednesday. McCombs won both trowing events as he took shot put at 53 feet, 9.75 inches and discus at 135 feet, 10 inches. See highlights from Memorial Stadium HERE.

Izzy Nowack (Williamsville Softball) The Bullets had a busy week with seven games in six days. Nowack got the week started by going 3-4 at the plate with five RBIs in a 13-1 win over Tri-City on Monday. She also struck out six in the five innings pitched. In a Sangamo win over Olympia she stuck out eight in seven innings pitched and drove in three on two hits. She also struck out 11 batters in seven innings as the Bullets fell to Auburn 3-2 on Thursday. See the highlight of the win over Tri-City HERE and game against Auburn HERE.

Jaevon Soloman (Southeast Boys Track & Field) Soloman won twice for the Spartans at the Solon/Lion Open on Wednesday. He won the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 15.49 seconds. He also took the 300 meter hurdles in 42.13 seconds. Southeast finished third in the Open and you can see highlights HERE.

Piper Taylor (Auburn Softball) The Trojans stay unbeaten in the Sangamo with a 3-2 win over Williamsville on Thursday. Auburn got the scoring started early as Taylor drove in two on a double to center field. She finished the game with two hits and two walks. Highlights of the victory HERE.

Jaiyden Wilson (Springfield High Boys Track & Field) The Senators had a big day at the Capital City Classic on Saturday with a second place finish. Wilson was a part of three relays that day while also finishing third in the long jump. The winning relays he was a part of included the 4×200 (1:28.47) and the 4×400 (3:25.24). They also finished second in the 4×100 (42.96). At the Solon/Lion Open on Wednesday Wilson took first in long jump at 21 feet, 3 inches. Highlights from Saturday HERE and Wednesday HERE.

Andrew Young (Glenwood Baseball) The Titans traveled to Mt Zion on Friday to take on the Braves. Glenwood picked up the 6-0 win and it was Young who got the win on the mound. He threw five innings with one hit and one walk allowed while striking out eight. See how the Titans scored their runs HERE.
