Tri-City held on for a 5-4 victory over Athens on Monday. The Warriors had chances with a runner on third and no outs in the sixth and bases loaded with no outs in the seventh. The Tornado defense responded in those situations with big plays to hold the lead. Savannah Sladek and Audrey Cooper also had RBI hits in the sixth to break a 3-3 tie and hand Tri-City the lead for good.
