Staunton defeated Auburn 1-0 in an opening week softball matchup in Auburn. Grace Burris held Auburn to just five hits in the shutout victory. The Bulldogs had six hits but scratched across a run in the fifth inning. The Trojans next game is at Routt on Monday.
